Growing up in Northern Virginia, sports was a passion. For example, in highschool, I was a track team captain and a relay-record holder in the 4X100 meter dash. My success in athletics was supported by a sincere thirst for competition. That was evident, not only in athletics but academics as well. I entered into my undergraduate studies as a Daniel Acker Scholar at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, before I transferred to my Alma Mater, the College of William & Mary, from where I graduated in 2015. After gaining some years of full-time work experience, I entered into a Masters program in Accounting that failed to meet my expectations. Although I was disappointed, I persevered to switch gears to Data Science, entering a STEM-designated Analytics program at a higher-ranked university, from where I graduated in August of last year with a Masters degree.
Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, I have been relatively pedestrian in terms of traveling and venturing out in public. While I haven't been able to travel as much as I previously did, I have indulged my other hobbies in video games, film, reading, programming, as well as learning new operating systems. Although my hobbies are varied, I find that I have a tendency to intermix them, in the sense that when I am programming, I tend to research and read more so than other programmers. This often gives me not only a deeper appreciation for the lines of code that I do write, but also for the attitudes and the approach that supports them.
